Ok cool. Sounds like the start of a plan. Not sure I would know how to polish these. I do have some brushed aluminum on my bike though so could go that route. The shiny stainless would probably look the best.

Let me know how it all prices out.

Do you want to email me directly? there was another person interested in contacting you too but they didn't want to join Yuku.

    My email is drakorice@hotmail.com

    Thanks.

    Doug.

Here are a couple of pics of BC license frames for reference (for the quote to make these).

The second one has a hidden bolt attached underneath. I don't know how hard that would be to make. It sure looks nice and clean like that. The second one costs a lot of money up here in BC. I think they are like $80 up to $150 canadian depending if they have a backing or not.

    Thanks.

I just looked at your second message. I didn't see pictures that you sent until after I sent my last message. I can model the shapes that are in the pictures easily. The hidden bolts would be a challenge but could be done if you wanted. The material would be much thicker for those to get a good seat on the threads. I'll let you know more about the cost soon.

    Hello.

Could you provide a quote to make me a license plate frame from both stainless steel and brushed aluminum?

The plate itself is 8" X 5" with oval holes at the top and bottom for screws. I can provide the exact dimensions if the price sounds reasonable.

Basically its just flat cut, rounded corners, maybe 1/2 inch wide all around.

There may be others interested in these too.

These are for BC Canada plates. I can provide a picture of the plate if that would help visualize it.

    Thanks sir.

    Doug.

    Hi Doug,

Here's a picture of the rough estimates that I made for the quote that I will bring to work tomorrow. I know that the stainless steel will be more expensive than the aluminum, but I'll get the quote and we can go from there. As far as the finish goes, I will receive the parts raw and they will have some scratches and whatnot just from the handling of the sheets. Aluminum is usually worse than stainless, but can be sanded smooth easier, although both can be sanded smooth. We can do the finishing two ways, I can finish it myself (the sanding and polishing or the brushed look if that's what you want) or you can do it yourself. We'll figure out the how much each would cost later. I'll send you another message with the quotes that I get from work when I get them. Also, do you want to add anything to make it more custom? A square plate is pretty classic, but we could add in some lettering that would be cut out with a thin black (or another color) behind it. We could also have small holes cut for LED's or some lighting. Just some suggestions if you're interested.
